Post of the Director of Studies (Research) - FGS/UOC

Applications are invited from suitable members of the Academic Staff of the University of Colombo for the Post of Director of Studies (Research) / FGS.

The FGS carries out multi-disciplinary research at the University and intends to expand and strengthen its pure or applied and interdisciplinary research addressing regional, national and international issues. The prospective candidate should encourage postgraduate research at FGS in complying with research ethics, promote inventions and innovations through outstanding research and facilitate dissemination of knowledge as well as write research proposals to attract research grants and new projects for FGS.

The FGS requires a motivated Director of Studies (Research) who will assist the Dean to implement the above as well as work as the overall research coordinator monitoring the standards and maintaining healthy productive links with the Postgraduate Faculties, Schools, and Universities in Sri Lanka and abroad. The Director of Studies (Research) will be paid an approved allowance. The work of the Director of Studies (Research) will be academically rewarding in a pleasant work environment. Those who are applying should be able to work after 4pm on weekdays and during the weekends.
