One-Day Workshop for MPA&M 2024/2025 - Online Mode (Weekend Programme)

The Faculty of Graduate Studies, University of Colombo successfully conducted a One-Day Workshop for the MPAM 2024/2025 (Weekend) Programme on 08th February 2026 at the Grand Monarch, Thalawathugoda. The workshop was organized with the objective of enhancing professional knowledge, administrative competencies, and collaborative skills of the participants.

The programme commenced with the registration, followed by a welcome address delivered by the Course Coordinator, Dr. Tharindu Ediriwickrama. An inspiring address was delivered by the Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies, Professor A. A. Azeez, highlighting the importance of professionalism, ethical conduct, and continuous learning in public administration.

The academic sessions featured two distinguished guest speakers. Guest Session I, on the topic “Role of a SLAS Officer,” was conducted by Ms. Madushani Perera, Director of the Non-Judiciary Officers’ Training Institute, Ministry of Justice and National Integration. Guest Session II, titled “Trends and Conduct in the Modern Era,” was delivered by Mr. Priyantha Mayadunne, Former Secretary to the Ministry of Public Administration. Both sessions provided valuable insights into contemporary administrative practices, leadership, and evolving public sector challenges.

Following the academic sessions and participants engaged in a Team Building and Outbound Training Session, which encouraged collaboration, leadership development, and interpersonal skills among students. The workshop concluded successfully with positive feedback from participants, reaffirming the Faculty’s commitment to producing competent and ethical public sector professionals.
