Ethics Approval

Ethics approval has to be obtained from the Ethics Review Committee (ERC) of the FGS where required. Research projects should commence after obtaining approval from the Research Ethics Committee & Approved by FGS.

Please note that ERC, FGS/UOC accepts applications for ethical review only from students, research fellows, visiting researchers and the faculty (including extended faculty) of the FGS.

• Projects dealing entirely with secondary data and literature need not go through ethics clearance process. Only projects dealing with human subjects are required to obtain ethics clearance.
• Regarding student research projects, please submit your ethics application form ONLY after your final research proposal has been accepted by FGS.
